Gmail: Schedule Send Emails (Wellbeing Tip)

Need to send emails after working hours? 

Don’t wan’t to send it straight away?

Don’t fear! with Gmail, you can compose your email and schedule it to send at a specific date and time. You can have up to 100 scheduled emails.

Note: Confidential mode messages can’t be scheduled to send later. 

Schedule an email to send later""

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. Click Compose "" and enter a recipient and text.

    You might see Compose "" instead.

  3. At the bottom, next to Send, click the Down arrow Drop down arrowand thenSchedule send.
  4. Select or specify a date and time to send the message.

View or change scheduled email""

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. On the left, click Scheduled Scheduled.
  3. Open the email that you want to change.
  4. Click Cancel send.
  5. Make any changes.
  6. Next to Send, click the Down arrow Drop down arrowand thenSchedule send.
  7. Select or specify a date and time to send the message.

Cancel scheduled email""

  1. Open Gmail.
  2. On the left, click Scheduled Scheduled.
  3. Open the email you want to cancel and click Cancel send.
    When you cancel a scheduled message, it becomes a draft message.
  4. (Optional) To delete the message, at the bottom, click Discard draft Discard draft.
